Kathleen Pritchard

Kathleen has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, and has spent the majority of her career providing advisors with innovative ways to look at their practice and client base. Kathleen is a dynamic, engaging and passionate speaker and is committed to ensuring her ideas lead advisors to further distinction in the marketplace. 

Kathleen develops transformational practice management and marketing strategy for financial services firms, and delivers keynote speeches and coaching services to top financial advisors. Previously, she was a Managing Director, Head of Advisor Business Development for Legg Mason Global Asset Management. In this role Kathleen founded and led Legg Mason’s value-added offering, The Advisor Partnership Program (TAPP)®, and was a Global Spokesperson at industry conferences and events across the United States and the UK. Kathleen has been interviewed by Investment News, Financial Planning, Market Watch, Ignites and FundFire and received additional press coverage from the WSJ Blog, Financial Advisor IQ, ThinkAdvisor.com and wealthmanagement.com. She also consulted with top advisors and teams in all distribution channels on topics such as marketing/branding their practices, client acquisition strategies, business development, leveraging social media, wealth management concepts and connecting with the next generation. Under Kathleen’s direction, The Advisor Partnership Program received numerous industry awards, including the Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) Marketing Innovation Award, two Mutual Fund Education Alliance (MFEA) STAR awards, and numerous Financial Communications Society (FCS) awards including three Gold awards, one Silver award and two Bronze awards.
 
She began her career as a Financial Advisor and has held various roles including Sales Management, Training, National Accounts and Marketing. Immediately prior to joining Legg Mason, she was a Senior Manager at JPMorgan Asset Management, where she held various marketing positions.
 
Kathleen did her undergraduate work at St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, and has continued her education with various industry designations. She holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®) certification, administered by the Investments & Wealth Institute™ (formerly IMCA®) and taught in conjunction with The University of Chicago Booth School of Business; the CHARTERED RETIREMENT PLAN COUN­SELORSM (CRPC®) designation, a designation available to retirement professionals from the College for Financial Planning; the Certified Fund Specialist® (CFS®) designation from the Institute of Busines­s and Finance; and the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designations from The American College. She also holds her FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
 
Kathleen resides in Newtown, CT with her husband Jeff and her golden retrievers Roxy and Wrigley. She has a passion for living her “Bucket List,” and with her husband Jeff, has fulfilled her goal of visiting all 50 states. She is now working on traveling to all 7 continents! In her spare time, she is on the Board of Directors for Aging in America, and enjoys spending time with family and friends, boating, hiking and snowmobiling.
